Market context
The macro frame for ETH heading into November is defined by one event: Binance's October 30 disclosure of a $6.3 billion exploit, the single largest centralized-exchange incident of the cycle. Bitcoinist reported BNB fell more than 8% on the news, Bitcoin slid toward $77,000, and Ethereum broke below $2,300 before stabilizing. More than $1.5 billion in leveraged positions were liquidated across venues in the hours that followed. Binance has pledged to cover customer losses and confirmed roughly $3 billion in recoverable assets, but the market is pricing the tail risk, not the recovery headline.
ETF flow data from CryptoBriefing shows spot Bitcoin products shed $643 million in a day while spot Ethereum funds lost $156 million. That's the kind of symmetrical outflow pattern that signals forced de-risking, not rotation. ETH's cryptoBeastScore sits at 65 (bullish) but the composition is lopsided: sentiment at 88 is doing most of the work, while market trend scores a flat 50 and on-chain inputs register 55. Translation: the mood is still constructive, the tape is not. That gap tends to close in the direction of the tape.
Technical setup
ETH is trading at $2,245.75, under every short- and medium-term moving average and below the $2,313 lower bound that 24/7 Wall St. had marked as a reasonable month-end close, Blockchain.News reported. Price is hugging the lower Bollinger band, which in the absence of a mean-reversion catalyst is a continuation signal, not an exhaustion one. The post-hack flush took out the obvious stops below $2,300.
CryptoPotato published levels from analyst Ali Martinez marking buy-the-dip zones in the aftermath, with the caveat he's flagged for the audience: 'Those are levels where I'll look for support; not guaranteed bottoms.' The structural read is cleaner. Reclaiming $2,313 on a daily close is the first test. Reclaiming the 50-day moving average, currently sitting above spot, is the second. Until both print, the burden of proof is on bulls. The $2,100 area, which coincides with prior accumulation volume, is where sellers either exhaust or the chart opens up to a deeper retest.
