Market context
Solana spent Wednesday night sliding into $100. 91 before buyers stepped in, closing Thursday's U. S.
morning session at $106. 53 on Binance spot, a 4. 27% recovery per Blockchain.
News. The bounce landed on the same day CoinDesk reported bitcoin reclaiming $82,000 and ZEC popping 11%, so SOL's move is partly a beta trade on broader risk appetite returning after bitcoin's brief dip under $80,000. It's not a clean read, though.
CoinDesk's live blog also flagged ETF outflows continuing from ether, SOL and ZEC funds even as spot prices climbed. That's the contrast the chart isn't showing you: funds are being pulled from the regulated wrapper while unlevered spot buyers absorb the discount. Either the ETF cohort is wrong, or the spot bid is a short cover.
The next 48 hours of flow data will say which.
Technical setup
The structural problem for SOL bulls is that $106. 53 doesn't clear anything. Per Blockchain.
News's technical read, the 4% bounce ran directly into a stacked wall of short-term moving averages, with $110 sitting as the next horizontal supply shelf. Stochastic has rolled up from oversold but hasn't crossed above the signal line with conviction. The practical read: this is a mean reversion in a downtrend until SOL closes a daily above $110 and reclaims the fast MAs as support rather than resistance.
