Market context
XRP trades at $1.44 into Wednesday morning after a rebound that carried Bitcoin back above $79,000, per CryptoPotato. The move followed a dovish read on the Federal Reserve that lifted the entire risk complex, but XRP's standout data point isn't the price. It's the flows. U.Today reported Tuesday that XRP was the only major spot crypto ETF product to book positive net inflows, drawing roughly $2M while Bitcoin, Solana and Hyperliquid products all shed capital. That's a narrow win, not a wave. But narrow wins after a broad tape recovery tend to signal where the incremental buyer is looking.
The institutional signal got a second data point Wednesday. Crypto.News flagged a Schwab fund filing showing $11.39M of XRP ETF shares posted as collateral inside Wall Street repo agreements. That's not a demand shock. It is, however, the first public evidence of XRP ETF paper being treated as pledgeable collateral by a US wirehouse, which matters more for the plumbing story than for spot price today.
Technical setup
The chart is coiled and honest about it. Blockchain.News framed the tape as a $1.47-$1.49 resistance cluster with retail longs at 69% and MACD momentum frozen at zero. That's the definition of a level that either breaks with force or fades into a supply flush. The last swing high near $1.49 was rejected on thin conviction. A daily close above $1.49 opens the path back toward the $1.60 area that acted as support through August. Failure to reclaim $1.47 on the third attempt puts $1.36 in play as the retest that funded longs will defend.
