Market overview
The tape looks one-sided. Cryptomat's Market Pulse printed 96 out of 100 on Thursday, tagged extreme greed, up 3 points over the prior 24 hours and holding a stable trend. Of the 150 articles classified in the same window, 98% landed bullish, 2% bearish, and average editorial importance ran 5.7 on our internal 1-10 scale.
Underneath, the reads split. The 12 headline tokens covered in the sentiment pulse all score bullish, but the wider 57-token CryptoBeast set averages only 47.8. That's the tell. Majors are getting the flow and the ink; the long tail isn't.
The session's dominant story came out of banking. Coinbase, working with infrastructure firm Stablecore, said Wednesday it will connect crypto trading, custody, staking and stablecoin payments to systems used by more than 3,000 US community banks, per parallel reports from Crypto.News and CryptoBriefing. Paul Grewal's team has been chasing this pipe for two years. It landed in a week when regulators are also warming up: the SEC published its framework for tokenized stocks, CoinDesk reported Wednesday, giving equity-on-chain a regulated US pathway with tight controls on access and issuer rights.
On the geopolitical side, the Trump-Xi state dinner in Washington drew heavy demand for seats, per CryptoBriefing, with trade and commodity policy top of the agenda. Treasury also sanctioned Iranian exchange BitBank over bitcoin transfers linked to the IRGC, Bitcoin Magazine reported. Regulatory pressure and institutional plumbing, moving in opposite directions, at the same time.
