What happened
Jupiter Exchange, the aggregator that routes the majority of Solana's DEX volume, enabled swaps between Injective's INJ and Solana-native assets on Wednesday, according to CryptoBriefing's report on the rollout. Users can now trade INJ against SOL and any SPL token surfaced by Jupiter's routing engine in a single transaction inside the Solana wallet stack. Jupiter did not publish a full technical breakdown of the bridging layer at the time of writing, but the user-facing flow removes the manual bridge step that previously stood between Solana wallets and Injective's native token.
The listing hit sometime before 21:34 UTC on Sept. 17.
Why it matters
Injective has spent the last two years pushing INJ as a cross-ecosystem asset rather than a Cosmos-only play. Direct access through Jupiter is the most meaningful liquidity bridge to date for INJ on Solana, and it lands during a stretch when Solana DEX volumes have consistently outpaced Ethereum L1 volumes on a rolling weekly basis. For Solana, it's the reverse trade: an incremental widening of the SPL asset universe, this time reaching outside the network's own ecosystem instead of pulling in another memecoin.
The competitive read is straightforward. Every non-Solana asset that Jupiter can route natively is a trade that doesn't need to go through a centralized venue, and it's one fewer reason for a Solana-based fund or market maker to hold accounts elsewhere. That's the pitch Jupiter has been making since Wormhole-routed assets started appearing in its interface, and INJ is a higher-profile addition than most.
