What happened
CoinsBee, a crypto-to-gift-card platform serving customers in more than 180 countries, said USDT (TRC-20) on TRON is now the most-used onchain token and network combination on its rails, per the company's data release Monday from Stuttgart. Over the 90-day window from June 4 through September 1, 2026, TRC-20 USDT recorded about 1. 8 times as many completed payments as Bitcoin and 1.
9 times as many as Ethereum. Its share of all CoinsBee payments climbed to 16. 23% in 2026 year-to-date, up from 9.
92% for full-year 2025, a 64% relative increase. Alongside the disclosure, CoinsBee and TRON DAO opened a joint campaign that offers eligible mobile app users a one-time 2% discount on purchases settled with USDT on TRON, redeemable via the code USDT-TRC between September 21 and October 5, 2026.
Why it matters
The numbers put a hard figure on a trend that stablecoin desks have been describing anecdotally for months: TRC-20 USDT has become the default rail for retail-sized dollar payments in crypto. CoinsBee's dataset covers actual completed purchases across 5,000-plus brands, not exchange volume or wallet-to-wallet transfers, which is the harder test for a payments claim. TRON DAO put the circulating USDT supply on its network at more than $94 billion as of September 2026, and CoinsBee's payment share data suggests that supply is being touched by real spend, not just parked.
