Visa did not disclose the commercial terms, the exact scope of systems in coverage, or whether Mythos operates read-only or with sanctioned probing rights inside segmented environments.
What was disclosed: this is Anthropic's model doing offensive security work, at Visa's scale, right now. Visa processes card volume measured in the trillions of dollars annually across more than 200 countries, which puts the blast radius of any missed vulnerability squarely in the systemic-risk category. Handing that surface to an autonomous AI hunter, rather than pairing it with a human red team, is the part of the story that will get repeated in every board deck this quarter.
The announcement lands as frontier labs push aggressively into enterprise security. Anthropic has previously highlighted Claude's use in cyber defense research, but a live deployment at a Tier 1 financial-infrastructure operator is a different order of endorsement.
